Results <br /> The respondents to the business survey were business owners (71%) and commercial <br /> property owners (45%). A majority of the responses came from service(39%) and retail <br /> (27%)related businesses. The respondents described their business as year-round(93%) <br /> business. Many of the respondents have a business location that is visible from MN 371 <br /> (66%).The respondents were generally property owners (83%) that did not lease space <br /> (74%) in Pequot Lakes. Those respondents that do lease space (26%) all renew their lease <br /> on an annual basis. On average the respondents (N=62)have been located at their current <br /> business location for 12.72 years. The average number of year-round fulltime employee's <br /> was 5.23 (N=53). The average number of year-round part-time employees was also 5 <br /> (N=24). The average number of seasonal fulltime was 10 (n=14). The average number of <br /> seasonal part-time employee's was 4 (n=19). <br /> A majority of the respondents chose the through town route as their preferred business <br /> option (55%) (Table 1).
