Lot 2 and Gov. Lot 3, Sec. 36,Twp. 136 Rge. 29. Belonging
to now deceased Helene Klatt and Heirs
We own Wilderness Point Resort and are concerned about the sale of this property for the
following reasons:
In our legal description there is an easement for Helens property. Our concern is the access
to the property from our driveway if it is divided. As of now, there is one driveway for both
properties. We do not want another driveway coming across our property to get to the road.
Also—not being able to read legal mumbo jumbo! Is there an easement in our legal descrip-
tion for the people owning what is called Mettler's Point subdivision?Right now, they also
all use our driveway. There is,according to the plat map, supposed to be another road called
High Pine Street from which all the Mettler's Point Subdivision properties are supposed to
access rather than through our property? As a note of reference: Wilderness Point used to
be Mettler's Point and the subdivision used to be part of the resort many years ago(1937 is
what is on the Plat for Mettler's subdivion done by John W.Curo from Jenkins).
Whose responsibility is or was creating and making that road that does not exist?! When
Crow Wing Power put the underground cable in they went along where the High Pine Street
is supposed to be in case it was ever done.
Presently,we maintain(putting class 5 and plowing etc.)our own"driveway"which is
quite long. All others who should be using a road that doesn't exist....use our road and we
would like to see them using the High Pine Street rather than ours.
Could you either take a look at what we are talking about or come out and talk to us about
it?Is it even your area or responsibility??!! We don't want to cause trouble but at the same
time we don't want things to get worse...Is a legal description legal if it contains reference to
a point(High Pine Street)that doesn't even exist??!!
We look forward to hearing from you one way or the other. Thank You for your attention to
this matter.
r
LSincerely, , ,....s ,..._
.....Dan Volk d Li Richards
