In going
through our records, there are several issues, which must be dealt with.
The building permit that you were granted on April 7, 2000 has expired. This permit was for an addition to
your home. The structure under construction is not attached to your existing home. Therefore, you will need to
apply for a new building permit. In order to obtain this, we will need to see a drawing of the project. It does
not have to be a professional drawing, but rather what your final project will look like.
Also, there is a Public Nuisance Ordinance in the City of Pequot Lakes. One of the items in this ordinance
states that"Accumulations in the open of discarded or disused machinery, household appliances, automobile
bodies or other materials, in a manner conductive to the harboring of rats, mice, snakes or vermin, or the rank
growth of vegetation among the items so accumulated, or in a manner creating lire, health or safety hazards
from such accumulation. This ordinance will be enforced by the Police Department.
Perhaps when you come in to apply for your building permit, you could also have a plan ready for the clean up
of your property. We will need to see you at City Hall no later than Friday, October 12, 2001 to discuss the
above matters. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me.
Sincerely:
\ 11 .12/tA1(
Nancy Caputa
Deputy Clerk
City of Pequot Lakes
Nc:
•
