SIBLEY TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> REGULAR MEETING,FEBRUARY 26,2002 <br /> SIBLEY TOWNSHIP HALL <br /> PRESENT: Craig Nagel,Karl Moon,Barb Sjoblad,Marty Nelson,Gary Gunderson,Cheri Seils, <br /> Mark Hallen,Mary Pfeiffer,Cathy Malecha <br /> GUESTS: Dave Sjoblad,John Derksen,Dorothy Marchwich <br /> Meeting was called to order at 7:45 P.M.with the Pledge of Allegiance by Chairman Craig Nagel. <br /> Hearing: Applicant-Jane and Ken Ness(not present due to family emergency) <br /> 31063 N.Heath Street <br /> Pequot Lakes,Minnesota 56472 <br /> Purpose of application: To have parcel 910121200000009 of Section 12,Twsp 136,Range 29, <br /> sub-divided by metes and bounds. <br /> Karl Moon made a motion to recommend to the Board of Supervisors to grant the applicant the sub- <br /> division by metes and bounds with the sketch of description as it appears to conform to the <br /> requirement set forth in the Sibley Township Zoning Ordinance and Comprehensive Plan. Motion <br /> seconded by Barb Sjoblad,all ayes,motion carried. <br /> Discussion followed regarding the fee of$300 charged to Jane and Ken Ness for the Metes and <br /> Bounds sub-division. The Commission felt that Crow Wing County did not follow through on this <br /> parcel when the warranty deed was recorded. Karl Moon made a motion to recommend to the <br /> Board of Supervisors to waive the fee for Jane and Ken Ness,motion seconded by Gary Gunderson, <br /> all ayes, motion carried. <br /> Amending the by-laws of the Commission was discussed. Due to the fact that the City of Pequot <br /> Lakes and Sibley Township Planning Commissions are planning to merge amending the by-laws at <br /> this time was not feasible. Karl Moon made a motion to recommend to the Board of Supervisors the <br /> authority to remove a Planning Commission member if they see necessary with just cause. Motion <br /> seconded by Marty Nelson,all ayes,motion carried. <br /> A Park Ordinance was submitted to the Commission. The City of Pequot Lakes has already adopted <br /> the ordinance presented. Karl Moon made a motion to recommend to adopt the Park Ordinance. <br /> Barb Sjoblad seconded the motion. A hearing will be set for the adoption of said Ordinance. <br /> Karl Moon made a motion to adopt the following,and make a recommendation to the Board of <br /> Supervisors. <br /> 1. Metes and Bounds description-Add-a sketch of description will be required for a <br /> permit. <br /> 2. Subdivisions and planned unit developments <br /> Section 140-040 Procedure,Item C <br /> Metes and Bounds Lot Split Approval: Where appropriate under the provisions of <br /> Section 140-010,B2,the subdivider shall submit documents containing the essential <br /> information of a proposed plat or plan and including dimensions computed to one <br /> hundredth of a foot and bearings computed to equivalent accuracy and a sketch of <br /> description to the Planning and Zoning Commission for approval. The review of the <br /> Planning Commission need not include a public hearing. <br /> 3. Telecommunication Towers <br /> Section 105-030 Permits not required <br /> a. A satellite earth station antenna four(4)feet in diameter or less,located in an <br /> industrial or commercial district,meeting required setbacks. <br />
