I have talked to <br /> Sheila at the Brainerd Economic Development Authority about its application to our <br /> situation and she said she would be following up with you on the matter. I'd be happy to <br /> get together with you or anyone else to pursue the,benefits of this program for both my <br /> company and the City. Now that we have the affordable housing built for the employees <br /> we will need, we can begin to fast track the development of our modular housing. <br /> The main purpose however for this letter is to bring you up to date on the status of recent <br /> correspondence and discussions we have been having with Charles Marohn, the planning <br /> and zoning administrator, with respect to the fencing around the Pequot Pines Apartment. <br /> Since you were not on the Pequot City Council when the Pequot Pines Apartments <br /> development was planned, I will give you a brief history. <br /> On September 1, 1999, I entered into a development agreement with the City of Pequot <br /> Lakes for the renovation of the existing 59-unit apartment complex known as Janice's <br /> Pines Apartments and the construction of a 90-unit expansion. In conjunction with the <br /> development agreement, a Tax Increment Financing(TIF) Agreement was entered into <br /> that provided for the reimbursement of certain costs related to the renovation of the <br /> existing 59 unit building. One of those costs as referenced in the development agreement <br /> was "Fencing around the Housing Project." <br /> On September 5, 2000, I went to the City offices to get the necessary permits for the <br /> project referred to in the development agreement and was issued and paid for a permit for <br /> the project, the project as defined in the development agreement as including the <br />
