City o.f
Pequot
Lakes® —
4638 COUNTY ROAD 11 ®PEQUOT LAS,MN 56472® (218) 568-5222®FAX: (218) 568-5860®wwwpequotlakes-mn.gov
June 21, 2016
Hand Delivered by Pequot Lakes Police Department
John R. and Barbara J. Derksen
31116 Ash Street
Pequot Lakes, MN 56472
Re: City of Pequot Lakes
Potential City Code Violation
PIN: 291050040230009 and 291050040240009
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Derksen:
I visited your property today and find that the lawn has been mowed and the
snowmobiles have been moved to the perimeter of the yard. Those actions do not bring
this property into compliance. This letter is intended to provide you with one final
opportunity to abate the City Code violations and nuisance conditions outlined in my
correspondence dated April 28, 2016 and May 10, 2016. To avoid this matter being
turned over to the City Attorney for prosecution you must complete the following by
July 22, 2016:
1. Remove or properly store all items currently stored outside;
2. Move the recreational vehicle to a location a minimum of 10 feet from any lot
line;
3. Any abandoned motor vehicles must be stored within a structure or completely
screened from view from adjacent properties and right-of-way; and
4. Dispose of or burn the pile of brush and branches.
We hope you take this opportunity to work with us and resolve this matter.
Sincerely,
Dawn Bittner
Zoning Administrator
C: Planning Commission
"This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer"
