PEQUOT RAKES BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> VARIANCE HEARING <br /> SEPT. 17, 1996 <br /> Chairman M. Jurchen called the variance hearing to order at 6: 32 pm, <br /> Sept. 17, 1996 at the Pequot Lakes City Hall. Roll call showed M. Jurchen, <br /> G. Jenson, C. Robideaux, G. Welu, D. Gola & T. Russell all present. Also <br /> present were 32 residents of Pequot Lakes and Sibley Township. <br /> Purpose of the hearing was to grant or deny to Lee Holck a variance from <br /> the required zoning ordinance front yard minimum road right of way setback <br /> of 35' . Mr. Holdk had requested 32' road ROW setback for the purpose of <br /> building an additional garage. After reviewing the request, it was deter- <br /> mined by Chairman Jurchen that Mr. Holck would need a variance of over 30' <br /> rather than the 3' requested. Mr. Holck was not present so another variance <br /> hearing was scheduled for Monday Sept. 30, at 5: 30 pm. Motion by D. Gola, <br /> 2nd by C. Robideaux, motion carried unanimously. Also M. Jurchen recom- <br /> mended T. Russell draft a letter to Mr. Holck apologizing for the delay <br /> and misunderstanding. <br /> The variance hearing was closed at 6: 36 pm. <br /> Pequot LAKES PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> SEPT. 17, 1996 <br /> The regular meeting of the Pequot Lakes Planning and Zoning Commission was <br /> called to order by Chairman M. Jurchen at 6: 37 pm. Roll call showed M. <br /> Jurchen, G. Jenson, C. Robideaux, G. Welu, D. Gola & T. Russell all present. <br /> Also present were 32 residents of Pequot Lakes and Sibley Township. <br /> Motion to approve amended minutes of the previous meeting by G. Welu, 2nd <br /> by C. Robideaux. Carried unanimously. <br /> A discussion on the Pequot Lakes/Sibley Township comprehensive plan was <br /> begun by Chairman M. Jurchen. George Hall of Sibley Township expressed a <br /> group concern over annexation by the City of Pequot Lakes and the resulting <br /> effect it would have on the township. It seemed that a merger of the two <br /> entities Would be a more viable alternative. <br /> Chairman Jurchen announced that Jay Blake would be presenting the compre- <br /> hensive plan at the Pequot Lakes City Council meeting on Oct. 1st and again <br /> at the Sibley Township meeting on Oct. 8th. <br /> Motion to adjourn by G.
