PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING&ZONING COMMISSION <br /> REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 16, 1997 <br /> The regular meeting of the Pequot Lakes Planning & Zoning Commission was called to <br /> order by Chairman M. Jurchen on Tuesday, September 16, 1997 at 6:40 p.m. at the <br /> Pequot Lakes City Hall. Roll call: M. Jurchen; J. Thompson and F. Martinson present. <br /> G. Jenson and G. Welu were absent. <br /> Earl Hemmerich presented his application for a conditional use permit for an on-site <br /> sales and operations office in a manufactured home park. <br /> Motion by F. Martinson and seconded by J. Thompson to hold a public hearing on <br /> September 30, 1997 at 6:30 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Taren Saccoman presented a request for a one year extension on her variance order (No. <br /> 95-08-15-37V). <br /> Motion by J. Thompson and seconded by F. Martinson to grant a one year extension on <br /> the variance issued to Robert & Taren Saccoman No. 95-08-15-37V for the construction <br /> of a single family dwelling and a garage on a non-conforming lot. The extension will <br /> expire 8/15/98. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by F. Martinson and seconded by J. Thompson to pass resolution finding that the <br /> tax increment financing plan for TIF district 1-4 conforms to the general plans for the <br /> development and redevelopment of the city. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The Commission appointed Terri Russell as Commission Secretary. <br /> The commission tabled discussion on tiering the industrial park until the October meeting <br /> to allow input from all commission members. The name "Industrial Park" was discussed <br /> and the members suggested that the name be changed to"Business Park". <br /> The Zoning Administrator updated the Commission on the status of TIF District 1-5 for <br /> Mathias Justin. Mr. Justin has agreed to waive his 60 days on the conditional use permit <br /> application pending approval of the tax increment plan. <br /> The commission reviewed information received from the Central Minnesota Initiative <br /> Fund on the various programs they facilitate and fund. <br /> The commission discussed updating the comprehensive plan and trying to work with the <br /> surrounding cities and townships. This issue will be reviewed at the October meeting. <br /> Motion by J. Thompson and seconded by F. Martinson to adjourn at 7:50 p.m. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> Tern Russell, Secretary Mark Jurchen, Chairman <br />
