PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING&ZONING COMMISSION <br /> PUBLIC HEARING AUGUST 4,1997 <br /> The Pequot Lakes Planning & Zoning Commission Public Hearing was called to order by Chairman M. <br /> Jurchen at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday,August 4, 1997,at the Pequot Lakes City Hall. <br /> Roll call: M.Jurchen;G. Welu; G.Jenson; J. Thompson; and F.Martinson present. Absent none. <br /> The public hearing was to consider amending Pequot Lakes Zoning Ordinance No. 163, Section 8.20: <br /> Land Use Classification List:to allow by Conditional Use Permit,Liquor,On-Sale in Limited <br /> Commercial; Commercial; and Exempt Commercial Districts. <br /> The Zoning Administrator stated that she had not received any correspondence regarding this rezoning <br /> request. <br /> There were no members of the public present in support of this amendment. <br /> Deb Hallbeck questioned if this amendment was really necessary. <br /> Marjorie Hopson asked if only new applicants would be required to have a conditional use permit. <br /> Joe Hallbeck wanted to know what kind of conditions the commission would put on a conditional use <br /> permit for this type of business. <br /> The public hearing portion of the meeting was closed. <br /> Motion by G. Welu and seconded by J. Thompson to recommend to the city council to amend Zoning <br /> Ordinance No. 163 to allow by Liquor On-Sale by conditional use permit in Limited Commercial, <br /> Commercial and Exempt Commercial districts.
