Mr. Frank continued by saying if the Commission needed any input from
local communities or if there were a need for funds for professional planning
or an issue explored, they would be the group that could do this.
The Healthy Community Partnership Program will sponsor a community
event called "The Gathering"this fall and would like to have annual
celebrations for the local communities.
ZONING OF THE SHAWANO PROPERTY
The issue was tabled until more information was available regarding the
rental guidelines and the Historical Registry verified. J. Thompson suggested
the septic system be inspected, as it may not be able to handle the volume if
rented on a weekly basis.
PEQUOT LAKES LAUNDROMAT AND CAR WASH
There will be no direction regarding the exterior color and design of the
building, as there are no violations as stated in the Zoning Ordinance.
J. Thompson stated if there are any concerned citizens, they could obtain a
petition and present it to the owners.
SIGN PERMITS
Motion by T. Saccoman and Seconded by C. Clarke that the Sign Ordinance
remain as is with a suggestion of penalty, if a business owner did not apply
for a permit or applied after the sign was erected.
G. Welu suggested that when a new owner comes to City Hall for a Building
Permit that they receive an Information Packet. The packet should include all
information needed to open a new business, including an application for a
sign permit.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
