PEQUOT LAKES <br /> PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> MAY 18, 1999 <br /> The regular meeting of the Pequot Lakes Planning & Zoning <br /> Commission was called to order by Chairman F. Martinson at 6:30 p.m. in the <br /> Council Chambers of Pequot Lakes City Hall. Present were T. Saccoman, J. <br /> Thompson, C. Clarke and F. Martinson. Absent were G. Welu. <br /> MOTION BY J. THOMPSON AND SECONDED BY T. <br /> SACCOMAN THAT THE 1VIINUTES OF THE MAY 18, 1999 BE <br /> APPROVED AS PRESENTED. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. <br /> CHANGE IN USE "FIELD OF DREAMS" <br /> The purpose for the discussion of the Change in Use was to give audience to <br /> Sibley Township in response to a letter sent to the City Council. <br /> Alan Cibuzar of A.W. Research spoke on behalf of the Sibley Lake <br /> Association regarding concerns of contamination of Lake Sibley due to <br /> "mining of top soil" at the Tulenchik "Field of Dreams". <br /> Joni Tulenchil and Cindy Tulenchik were present, and both stated top soil <br /> was not being mined. <br /> Also present was Terry Johnson of Anderson Brothers Construction who . <br /> spoke on the method of Home Site Preparation. Johnson stated that "excess" <br /> top soil would be removed, "adequate" black dirt put down and grass seed <br /> planted. <br /> Topics discussed were ground water movement, septic systems, set backs and <br /> the results of inspection reports. <br />
