Mr. Marohn will bring a recommendation to the Commission making language changes <br /> to the ordinance. <br /> APPLICANT: City of Pequot Lakes <br /> Applicant requests ordinance revisions to Section 10 and Section 62 to allow restaurants <br /> and apartments in the Exempt Commercial zone. <br /> Mr. Marohn explained his Staff Report. <br /> A motion was made by Bill Habein, seconded by Karl Moon, to recommend to the City <br /> Council they approve the following changes to the Ordinance: <br /> 1. Add the following definition of"Restaurant"under Section 10.040: <br /> Restaurant. An establishment where the principle business is the preparation, <br /> service and sale of food and beverages to be consumed by customers at tables <br /> or counters located within the building on the premises. <br /> 2. Add"Restaurants" as a permitted use under Section 60.020. <br /> 3. Add"Accessory Apartments" as a conditional use under Section 62.030. <br /> All members voted"aye". Motion carrired. <br /> APPLICANT: Karen Struve <br /> Applicant requests a Conditional Use Permit to construct apartments in the Exempt <br /> Commercial zone. <br /> Mr. Marohn explained his Staff Report. <br /> Karen Struve <br /> 3973 Mockingbird Lane <br /> Hackensack, MN <br /> All the conditions in the Staff Report were acceptable to Ms. Struve. <br /> A motion was made by Tom Woog, seconded by Cheri Seils, to recommend approval of <br /> the Conditional Use Permit with the following conditions: <br /> 1. The applicant shall provide parking for the tenants. A minimum of one parking <br /> stall per apartment is required. <br /> 2. Each apartment shall be considered a separate water and sewer connection and <br /> shall require a separate connection fee. Connection fees are used to pay for <br /> existing infrastructure. <br /> 3. A water meter separate from the commercial establishments shall be provided for <br /> the residential dwellings. <br />
