MINUTES <br /> PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> MAY 15, 2003 <br /> PRESENT: Bill Habein, Marty Nelson, Joe Dotty, Cheri Seils, Karl Moon, Tom <br /> Woog, and Mark Hallan. ABSENT: John Derksen. <br /> ZONING ADMINISTRATOR: Charles Marohn. <br /> The meeting was called to order by Tom Woog, Commission Chairperson, at <br /> 6:37 p.m. <br /> APPLICANT: Arlynn Herboldt. <br /> Applicant requests a Conditional Use Permit for an accessory use of a pedal <br /> powered cart track at an amusement park in the Commercial District. <br /> Applicant was present: Arlynn Hreboldt, P. O. Box 605, Nisswa, MN. Business <br /> is located on Highway 371, Pequot Lakes, Bump & Putt. <br /> Mr. Marohn explained his Staff Report. He also explained that he would like to <br /> remove the 2 conditions listed in his Report. There is suitable screening on the <br /> property and there is no drainage issue. He recommends to approve as <br /> submitted with no conditions. <br /> A motion was made by Karl Moon, seconded by Cheri Seils, to approve the <br /> Conditional Use Permit. All members voted "aye". Motion carried. <br /> JOHN DERKSEN ARRIVED AT 6:44. <br /> ADDITIONS OR DELETIONS TO AGENDA: <br /> 6 a. Grant Walker, <br /> 7 b. Clarify maximum square footage for accessory structures in the rural <br /> residential zone. <br /> 7. c. Discuss Adoption of the Building Code. <br /> OPEN FORUM: <br /> Jim Fruth from the Farmer's Market was present. He was checking to see if he <br /> would be allowed to use his 5 banners for the Farmer's Market. He is aware that <br /> a Sign Concept Plan is being worked out with Oasis Center. The Farmer's <br /> Market is actually on Tom Ryan's property, not Mr. Lueck's. Limiting his banners <br /> would hurt his business. One-half to one-third of their business is from drive- <br />
