At that meeting
the EDC requested staff to follow up on several items. A follow-up meeting was
held on 6/15 with Sheila, Tommy Woog, Chuck Marohn, Dawn Bittner, and
Sandy Peine to talk about the subdivision process relating to the
IndustrialBusiness Park lots. The Clerk explained that Tim Houle is present to
talk about the facility plan and will be able to assist in a discussion regarding
WAC/SAC fees. She indicated that Tina Nolden has some information to present
regarding capacity.
Water and Wastewater Capacity
Tina distributed material regarding flows, usages, and projected future connections.
Discussion was held regarding how long the City would commit its capacity to a
developer who is not completing the development in as timely a manner as anticipated.
Tim Houle stated that the City's water system has plenty of capacity and if there was an
issue it would be with the wastewater treatment capacity. Tim Houle suggested keeping
track of the flows on a year to year basis to ensure that the City does not run into
problems with capacity. It was also suggested that future developer agreements address
water and sewer capacity needs and the timeliness of hook ups. It was noted after
reviewing the information that wastewater flows and water usage has been decreasing
since 2006.
