a <br /> Trade Area Analysis Proposal <br /> For Pequot Lakes, MN <br /> Adeel Ahmed, Extension Educator <br /> Phone: 612-220-8046 <br /> e-mail: ahme0004@umn.edu <br /> 6/4/09 <br /> Deliverables: <br /> • One customized report and one basic report describing the main customer groups <br /> of Pequot Lakes (see examples attached from Brainerd) <br /> o 1 local trade area report(basic report) <br /> • Describes the demographic characteristics of customers in the <br /> immediate Pequot Lakes trade area and estimates of their retail and <br /> service purchases <br /> • Trade area defined by local study group <br /> o 1 seasonal trade area report(customized report) <br /> • Describes the demographic characteristics of seasonal residents in <br /> the Pequot Lakes trade area. <br /> • Created using county tax records <br /> • One 2-hour workshop presenting results and activities/discussion to apply the <br /> information. <br /> Cost: <br /> • $2,000 for both reports and workshop* <br /> o $750 for just basic local trade area report. <br /> o Seasonal report may not be possible if tax records not available. <br /> • Time of people to serve on a retail study group <br /> o 3-5 individuals, including some retailers <br /> o Commit to two meetings before presentation of results <br /> • 1st meeting to organize project (1 hour+) <br /> • 2nd meeting to give input into project mid-way and determine trade <br /> area(2 hours) <br /> *If interested in both a customized local report using local customer data and a <br /> customized seasonal report, total cost would be $2,500. <br /> Timing: <br /> • Need 12 weeks from beginning of analysis to workshop delivery. <br /> o Depends on availability of local data <br /> o Depends on scheduling of local retail study group. <br />
