� SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br />TUESDAY, JANUARY 18, 2011 <br />PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br />Members Present: Mayor Adams, Council Members Malecha, Akerson, Sjoblad, and <br />Ryan <br />Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk; Kate Petersen, Acting Chief of Police; <br />Mike Loven, Public Works Supervisor; and Nancy Malecha, <br />Finance Director; and Tina Nolden, Water/Wastewater Operator <br />Call Meetin� to Order <br />Mayor Adams called the meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to order at <br />6:00 p.m. <br />Pled�e of Alle i� <br />Mayor Adams led with the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />� <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO TAKE THE AGENDA <br />ITEM RELATING TO THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OFF OF <br />THE TABLE. COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />The City Clerk explained that the Job Evaluation Committee reviewed the job <br />descriptions for Water/Wastewater Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. She <br />stated that the committee has made recommendations for the Council to consider <br />regarding the job descriptions, job points, pay scale, and wage for each position. <br />Council Member Akerson suggested adding a line to the Water/Wastewater <br />Manager job description stating "responsible for other job duties as assigned by <br />Council." The Council concurred. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO ACCEPT THE <br />RECOMMENDAITON OF THE JOB EVALUATION COMMITTEE AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />WATER/WASTEWATER MANAGER <br />• JOB DESCRIPTION — APPROVAL WITH RECOMMENDED CHANGES <br />• JOB POINTS — NO CHANGE TO JOB POINTS — REMAIN AT 261 <br />• PAY — STEP 4 OF THE WATER WASTEWATER MANAGER POSITION <br />�. <br />AT $17.86 PER HOUR EFFECTIVE JANUARY 17, 2011 <br />
