The Library Board is requesting <br />Council approval to resurface the parking lot and widen the sidewalk at the <br />Library. The Library Board has received two bids for the project. The <br />lowest bid is from Tri-City Paving in the amount of $11,760. This is not a <br />budgeted item. The request is to fund the project with money from the <br />Library Fund. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE <br />LIBRARY SIDEWALK AND PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENT AND TO <br />ACCEPT THE LOW BID FROM TRI-CITY PAVING IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$11,760 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE LIBRARY FUND. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />Mayor Adams explained that there is a lot for sale on County Road 112 <br />located across the street from the Library. She questioned whether the <br />Council was interested in pursuing the purchase of the property. Council <br />Member Pederson suggested bringing a proposal to the Council. Council <br />Member Gardner stated that he would rather use the money for a park or <br />playground equipment for children. Council Member Akerson felt it would <br />be a good idea to find out what the cost of the property is. Council <br />Member Sjoblad stated he would research the cost of the property. <br />12. Adiournment <br />There being no further business, COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED <br />TO ADJOURN. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE <br />MOTION.
