MINUTES <br />PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING COMMISSION <br />REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 20, 2oi4 <br />PRESENT: Todd Engels, Mark Hallan, Cheri Seils and Wesley Wilson. ABSENT: Deb <br />Brown, Bill Habein and James Oraskovich. <br />CITY PLANNER: Justin Burslie, Community Growth Institute <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATOR: Dawn Bittner <br />COUNCIL LIAISON: None <br />Chair Seils called the meeting to order at �:09 p.m <br />PRE-MEETING DISCUSSION — `"� "��f'`'< <br />Update Downtown Plan <br />Mr. Burslie explained the Downtown Plan was originally created in 200� and updated in <br />2oli, although they were never adopted. The City Council has determined updating the <br />Downtown Plan as a high priority and has directed the Planning Commission to do so. <br />He then read the Executive Summary from the 200� update. <br />The earlier versions included State Highway 371 going through town; this update will <br />depict a more urban street design. Mr. Burslie explained the elements included on the <br />visual Plan. <br />Chair Seils opened the Public Hearing. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />APPLICANT: WILDERNESS RESORT VILLAS, LLC <br />Applicant requests an Amendment to Conditional Use Permit to allow a 3- <br />story lodge, expand existing beach area, create an additional beach, <br />relocate a boat ramp and allow motorized traffic on walking trail. <br />Mr. Burslie explained the Staff Report, stating this Public Hearing is a continuation of <br />last month's Public Hearing.
