I originally came in to the office to pick up a permit before construction vY-as started and was told that I had to get a septic inspection before one would be issued. The fall season was upon us and the delay was not anticipated. I contacted numerous contractors to no avail! I proceeded with the garage,hoping to get the permit soon. I finally got an inspeclDr from Pine River and she did the preliminary work,but could not do the final because of the weather (freeze up).The permit was put on hold. Spring carne and then she did the final.No permit was issued because I had to do a final revised plot plan because I had added an Arbor to my yard. It is no more than a yard ornament,but I needed a permit. I revised the plan and returned it.Now I get a fee that is multiplied by five times! I will not agree to any such payment.I will agree to two times,but not five! The reasons being: I am involved in the fColumbia h Heights�their current You door. I am aware that to charge a fee in the State of Minnesota,Y not have a building code and you do not have an inspector or plan check,so I do not think you can legally justify any fee at all.Again,I will agree to two times the fee,which is what most communities do,just to keep things moving and finish my garage. However, if this is not acceptable,then I would agree to get in line behind the house by the creek on County 168 that we have had to look at for the last 15 to 20 years and will finish my project after they finish theirs! As a Taxpayer in Crow Wing County for more than 35 years,I am very disappointed in this type of treatment. ThanJyor your c sider on 141.1 ary L.
