19. August 8 letter to Beverly Gibbons regarding resolution of property
maintenance.
C. Potential Violations/Enforcement Actions: The City Staff is currently working on
the following potential violations/enforcement actions. We will report on these
each month until they are resolved to the satisfaction of the Planning
Commission.
1. David Swenson: Mr. Swenson has removed all abandoned or inoperable
vehicles and the pontoon. We consider this matter resolved. (10/02)
2. John E. MacGibbon: Current parcel information lists Mr. MacGibbon as
the person receiving tax statements.
3. Cathi McBryde: This matter is being turned over to the Prosecuting
Attorney, Matt Mallie. Staff has prepared a timeline for Mr. Mallie.
(Inherited from Sibley Township)
4. Lance Schmidt: Staff will continue to monitor. This will remain on the
violation list. (6/05)
5. Roger Rudbeck—The City Council has agreed to forward this matter to
the City Attorney to secure a lien on the illegally constructed dwellings.
6. Roger Rudbeck and Jack Rudbeck—At this time they are not pursuing
their claim against the City. Their issue is with the Tim Wimperis and
Larry(Tony)Fyle properties. Mr. Wimperis has moved out of the City
and Mr. Fyle is not in violation.
7. Gary and Jaculin Peterson—Mr. Peterson has added the gazebo to the site
plan and application. He is now requesting the fee for the garage and
gazebo constructed without a permit. The fee would have been $320.00.
The Planning Commission can recommend up to 5 times the original fee
for an after-the-fact permit. (11/03)
8. Andrew Boldt—Mr. Schaefer has the adjoining lot for sale and this issue
will be revisited when the lot is sold. This will remain on the violation
list.
9. Dept. of Natural Resources/Paul Bunyan Trail—The DNR has contacted
Staff and will remedy this situation in the spring. This will remain on the
violation list until it is resolved.
10. Carl Wilson—This parcel has been sold. Staff will continue to monitor.
This may be an ongoing problem and will remain on the violation list.
July, 2005 Staff Report Page 2
