The hearing was for an amendment to a conditional use
permit for Wilderness Resort. The application was tabled for further review.
Before each meeting, the Planning Commission designates one hour to work on long-
range planning items. At the last meeting the Planning Commission reviewed various
goals/objectives from the Comprehensive Plan. The Commission is seeking direction
from the City Council as to which goals/objectives they should be working on in 2oi4.
The following items from the Comprehensive Plan were determined to be of "high
priority" and "secondary priority:"
High Priority:
i. Adopt new standard street sections that reduce long-term costs by narrowing
lane widths to appropriate neighborhood scale and providing safe pedestrian
mobility throughout the city.
2. Adjust the zoning code to clearly reserve all space within the industrial park for
uses that are not public, will pay property tax and will employ people.
3. Identify and establish well-marked routes that more directly connect snowmobile
and bicycle traffic from the regional trail system into the city.

WWW.COMMUNITYGROWTH.COM ; WWW.STRONGTOWNS.ORG
