Discussion on Existing Business Park Committee <br /> The Clerk asked to the Committee to clarify its intention to disband the Business <br /> Park Committee. The Committee indicated that the goal of the Economic <br /> Development Committee is to streamline the development process and to <br /> eliminate duplication where developers are involved with the City. Therefore, it is <br /> the recommendation of the Committee to disband the Industrial Park Committee <br /> and have the Business Park Committee take on those responsibilities. <br /> PATRICK SMITH MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE COUNCIL <br /> THAT THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE TAKE ON <br /> THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INDUSTRIAL PARK COMMITTEE <br /> AND THAT THE INDUSTRIAL PARK COMMITTEE BE DISBANDED. <br /> MARK JURCHEN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 5. Review Cash Flow Analysis to Cover Existing Debt in the Business Park <br /> Sandy Peine provided the Committee with a cash flow analysis to cover the debt <br /> on the 2003 Industrial Park infrastructure extension. The Committee reviewed the <br /> cash flow analysis provided by Ehlers and noted that the project does cash flow. <br /> The Clerk indicated that if all lots in the park are sold,the City would have some <br /> cash on hand for a future expansion. <br /> 6. Review Flow Chart from Sheila Haverkamp <br /> The Committee reviewed the flow chart prepared by Sheila and Elissa. The <br /> Committee suggested revising the chart so that it is in the form of a check list for <br /> all development procedures including Planning and Zoning processes. Sheila <br /> indicated she would fine tune the flow chart and develop check lists to follow. <br /> 7. Precision Water Jet Update <br /> Sheila Haverkamp updated the Committee on the progress with Precision Water <br /> Jet. She noted that the company is looking to expand its existing business and is <br /> looking at options in several industrial parks. She noted that the owners would <br /> prefer to stay in Pequot Lakes. Dawn Bittner updated the Committee on a meeting <br /> she held with the owners of Precision Water Jet and two Planning Commission <br /> i <br /> II <br />
